Whether you have MCSE ceritfication, MCP ceritfication, or MCSA ceritfication. your Microsoft Certification will make you more money in the job market. But don't neglect other job skills that make getting a raise or career advancement a whole lot easier.

The truth is that employers know of and respect the various Microsoft certifications such as MCSE ceritfication, MCP ceritfication, MCSA ceritfication, MCDBA ceritfication and MCP ceritfication. Microsoft certification will make you more money in the long run and possibly the short run as your employer knows that you are now more marketable and can find a job elsewhere, thus inducing said employer to consider and grant the raise that you have been asking for.

But there is more to getting a raise or promotion than flashing your MCSE certification in your bosses face. Many professionals who are Microsoft or otherwise certified neglect the basic workplace skills and unconciously set themselves back. Follow this list to get the most out of your Microsoft certification.

1. Be on your bosses good side. This is rule numero uno. You don't have to kiss butt but the workplace is no place for professional or personal enemies.

2. Do not embarass your boss, if he or she is wrong tell them behind closed doors, or better yet just keep it to yourself!!

3. Good grooming at work is a must it really pays off.

4. Come to work on time and often, employers don't want to promote you then have to ask the person they bypassed for your promotion to do your work because you have called in sick, AGAIN!

5. Keep your resume current. Sometimes you have to switch employers to get that raise!

6. And for God's sake do not be confrontational with your coworkers, employers don't want to have to be referees, if you show your MCSE certification and display an ability to work smoothly with others your chances for advancement are much greater.

So definitely get MCSE, MCP, MCSA or MCDBA put behind your name, but don't forget all the other things too.
